I recently heard from one of our EEcosystem community members, Rok Mih from Slovakia, who said he loved our post on free engineering tools and suggested we highlight another resource worth sharing.
That tool is Qucs (Quite Universal Circuit Simulator) — a free, open-source circuit simulator that offers surprising power and flexibility.🔗 https://qucs.sourceforge.net/
Qucs lets you capture schematics, simulate them, and visualize results in plots and diagrams. It supports DC, AC, S-parameter, noise, harmonic-balance, and transient analyses, and it allows imported SPICE models and parameterized subcircuits.

Having worked with several companies that develop advanced simulation tools for large enterprise engineering teams, I know how valuable these systems are. But I also know that smaller firms, consultants, and individual engineers often need affordable options that deliver practical capability without heavy licensing costs.
That’s why we want to spotlight tools like Qucs that help make professional-level simulation accessible to everyone.
Check it out and see how it might fit into your workflow.
