Electronics Masterclass
Welcome to the TL101 Community Forum!
We’re so glad you’re here.
This forum was created just for you—to build on what you’ve learned in Transmission Lines 101 and to keep the conversation going. While we created the space, it belongs entirely to you—our growing community of curious, committed design engineers.
Here, you can connect with fellow engineers, share insights, ask questions, and most importantly, continue learning together. Got a transmission line question for Dr. Eric Bogatin? Post it here! Each month, we’ll gather your top questions and record a video Q&A with Eric to help take your understanding even deeper.
Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is when engineers come together in a spirit of generosity and curiosity. So let’s make this a space that reflects the best of our profession—where respectful, meaningful dialogue leads to real growth.
We’ll moderate the forum to ensure it stays a constructive and inspiring environment, in alignment with…
Field overlay in HFSS
In Transmission Lines 101 by Prof. Eric Bogatin, is Jsurf of the HFSS simulation on page 14 of the slide overlayed on the surface of dielectric, copper of the return layer, copper of the signal layer, or all of the above?
I want to make the pretty picture like that as well.
Tatsuya,
Thanks for starting the conversation here and asking questions. Since we just launched these conversations may take a little time to get going--but we'll do our best to point some people your way! Thanks for joining and starting the conversation! Judy @Eric Bogatin, Do you have any early comments on Tatsuya's question? I will see if I can get Juliano Mologni for Ansys to join this conversation.
